Mommy and I had a very busy Wednesday. We went to Pet Smart this morning and I saw snakes, fish, birds, dogs, cats, turtles and even some hamsters. We were trying to kill a little time before Sam's opened. After we finished our shopping at Sam's, we had to go home to unload the truck and re-fuel with a snack. We headed for the zoo to meet Anastasia, Ezrie, Aunt Dian and Keira.

Howdy Ya'll..........
Today we went to mommy's MOPS meeting. I had to go to the nursery, but this time was different. This time I practically jumped into the nursery workers arms. I was super excited to play with the other children my age.

Mommy fixed spaghetti for dinner. At first I ate it with a spoon, but then decided to make a mess. I ended up with a noodle on my finger. Mommy thought it was funny when I put my hand so close to my face trying to see the noodle that my eyes crossed..........

Thursday Was......"The Bomb" (literally)
Here's how it all went down.......
Mommy and I had a great morning together. We took a trip to the park where we played on the swing and slide. A little before noon, daddy called us to say he had gotten off work a early and wanted to know if we could meet him for lunch. We were already packing up the truck and since I didn't think I would get to see daddy today we decided to go to Longhorn Cafe for a burger. Mommy didn't pack food for me this time because we had not anticipated going out to eat. Daddy ordered me a kids meal with a grilled cheese sandwich and some mashed potatoes. Being that I am only on day 5 of a 10 day course of antibiotics, the food did not set well with my tummy. I had an explosive diaper in the middle of the restaurant. The thing is mommy and daddy didn't hear it. I don't think anyone did. Some lady at the table next to ours kept staring at me (obviously because she could see my back-side), but didn't say anything. Mommy noticed it as we were packing up to leave. Daddy had to pick me up using the high chair cover I was sitting in.

This stinks!!! Mommy says this is definitely my worst diaper yet. I had to have be changed on the tail gate of daddy's truck. It was such a mess! Since it was right at lunch and the restaurant was crowded, we had an audience in the parking lot. We were all embarrased, but mommy had the giggles which lightened the mood a little. We went straight home to take a bath. I was so happy to be clean.

Feeling Better.........
I have so much to be thankful for. I am finally feeling better after being sick since last Friday. I had some sort of virus. On Sunday my temperature reached 104 and I threw up three times. I was feeling lousy. I have to stay on the antibiotics for five more days, but I don't mind. Mommy mixes it with yogurt and I don't even realize I am taking it. Today I did something pretty unexpected. Mommy does a good job of trying to be consistent with my prayers at mealtime, but some days are very chaotic. I think she worries that I will not understand the concept of praying before we eat if we do not do it ever single time, but I get the picture. At breakfast mommy said "lets pray" so I put on my serious face and folded my hands respectfully. This threw mommy for a loop and she squealed with delight. Whatever mom.....Can I have my food? The surprises continued throughout the day. At lunch when I had eaten everything on my plate, I wiped my hands together and said "done". Then later in the afternoon mommy had me laying on her lap. We were playing and I was getting tickled. Mommy asked me if I could say tickle and so I did. She thought it was so funny that she recorded it (see video below). What will I do next?

Little Climber...........
Being the adventurous little fellow that I am, I figured out how to use my truck to climb onto things this morning. Mommy normally parks my truck right next to the couch and I spend my time trying to maneuver it out of the corner so I can push it around the living room. Not any more. All I have to do is stand on the seat and I can almost get onto the couch.

I was very active this morning in spite of running a fever. Yes, you read it right. My very first fever and let me just say that it isn't much fun:( Mommy noticed I felt very warm and decided to TRY to take my temperature. The first attempt was with the digital ear thermometer, but I kept shaking my head around making it almost impossible. The second time was under my arm. Mommy sat with me on her lap, turned sesame street on to distract me, and placed the thermometer under my arm. This worked well, but sesame street was almost over, the thermometer was taking entirely too long giving us a reading and I had caught on to the whole thing. I managed to get the thermometer out before it beeped, but the reading was 100.1 so mommy gave me some Tylenol and called my doctor. Given my history of ear infections we didn't want to chance getting worse over the weekend. I was still running a temperature of 100.2 at the office so the nurse had to give me more Tylenol. Dr.Campbell saw me this afternoon and said my ears look alright, but she gave me a prescription for Augmentin to fill if I get worse over the weekend. Daddy is going to keep checking my ears to make sure they stay well. In the meantime I have to have my nose suctioned before meals and at bedtime. I was also given some Rhinocort nasal spray and will keep taking my Zyrtec. Mommy and daddy had canceled my tube placement, but if I do end up with another infection it looks like I will have to have them after all. Everyone, please pray for my ears!

Pizza, Pizza............
Daddy took mommy and I to Pizza Hut for lunch today. I was determined to get a bite of this interesting, triangular food. Mommy was a bit apprehensive, but decided I could try a little.

Then I was hooked! I opened my mouth as wide as I could in preparation for the perfect bite......
I was only allowed a little. Mommy brought my own deliciously healthy food from home. I know what you are thinking....How could I eat my own food after having tasted such yummy pizza? A few times I did point to the pizza and grunt as if to say "I would rather have that", but mommy just kept feeding me my own food until I was full.

Oddly enough, I don't mind too much when mommy helps me eat in public. I guess I must be distracted so I permit it to occur, but at home I have done away with such non-sense. Mommy may scoop up the bite for me, but I take it from there by grabbing the spoon and putting it in my own mouth. Boy, do I make a mess!!!

Little Angel..........
This morning mommy was in a silly mood. My ball pit has a ring toss on the side of it that comes with 3 inflatable rings. Mommy placed one of them around my head and thought it was funny.

A Night With Friends..........
Tonight we had company:) Mommy's cousins Jamye and Anastasia came over with Keira and Ezrie. Keira will be 2 in June and Ezrie will be 1 at the end of May. I had a bath and was ready for bed before they arrived. I normally go to sleep at 7pm, but mommy let me stay up a little longer to play. She even inflated the ball pit that daddy bought me for my birthday so we could all get inside.
Mom, where are the rest of the balls?
Mom, where are the rest of the balls?
When I was ready to move on to the next thing I headed straight for Jamye, who was sitting beside the ball pit, and grabbed onto her legs until she pulled me out. I played pretty hard. I think I was wired up from drinking too much of Keira's apple juice. I liked her Backyardagains cup and would wait for her to put it down so I could sneak a drink. I also gobbled up anything on the floor that fell out of her snack sack. I had goldfish, a variety of puffs, some kind of teething cookie and since mommy didn't realize I had eaten these things, she gave me some dough from her pizza. It was a good night for me. Putting on a few pounds shouldn't be a problem......

Having Fun In The Sun...........
Today daddy and mommy took me swimming. It was a hot day, but the water in the pool was very cold. My jaw started to shiver the minute I got in. Daddy held me close and I felt better, but we didn't stay in for long.

My Trip To See The ENT.........
Today mommy and daddy took me to see the pediatric ENT Dr.Noorily. I sat on daddy's lap and was very still as the nurse conducted a tympanogram. They did this test because the doctor wanted to find out how my eardrum was working. The nurse used a special machine that was small enough to be inserted into my ear. It made a quiet noise that got my eardrum moving. The results were normal and when Dr. Noorily examined my ears he said they were both clear of infection. That's great news being that I just finished a 10 day course of antibiotics yesterday. Dr. Noorily says given my history I definitely meet the criteria for tube placement. 6 infections in 6 months is a lot and he says more than likely I will have more. Daddy was more comfortable with the decision than mommy. Dr. Noorily gave them some information to read regarding the procedure and care afterwards. They scheduled the surgery for April 29th with the knowledge that they could cancel if they changed their minds.

Cool Shades.........
After posing for my first birthday pictures all morning mommy decided to take me for a relaxing stroll in my blue truck. Of course she had to put me in my cool sunglasses that I haven't worn since I was little and couldn't pull them off on my own.
