Power Up!

We started our Saturday out by taking a trip to Lifeway Christian book store to meet Bob and Larry from Veggie Tales. The store was so crowded and the lines were so long that daddy placed me on his shoulder so I could get a glimpse of them before we headed out. I was happy with the view!

We headed home for lunch and a much needed siesta!

Then we headed to Culver's for dinner with Aunt Jodi, Uncle David and my cousins. They invited us to the Super Hero show called "Power Up" at their church tonight to celebrate the conclusion of VBS.

I shared my ice cream with daddy after dinner.

Hunter brought an extra shirt for me to wear to the show!

We were able to get a front row seat. I was super excited!

Let the show begin!!

Time to get my groove on!

Our Weekend In San Antonio!

Daddy had to attend a conference in San Antonio over the weekend so Friday morning we all piled into the truck for a road trip! We arrived just in time to stop at our favorite burger joint Longhorn Cafe for a cheeseburger and tots.... Mmmmm!

I played outside after lunch...

The shade from the trees kept the slide cool!

After lunch we headed to the Texas Center for Athletes so daddy could visit his friends. We stopped by the rehabilitation area first. I immediately spotted the brightly colored balls and trampoline used for physical therapy purposes and wanted to play. Mommy explained that they were used to help people who were injured get better. About a minute later I started limping around telling everyone I had hurt my patella (knee cap) in hopes that someone would let me play on the equipment. Everyone really got a kick out of that!

We finally made it to our hotel. We stayed at the Westin on the River Walk. Megs settled into a cozy chair....

I surrounded myself with pillows on the bed and wanted to watch a movie!

We had a balcony over looking the River Walk and pool that was a couple of floors below ours....

Me and daddy checking out the River Walk....

Saturday we made a quick trip to The Rim to look for a "poo-poo prize". I guess something about being out of town made me feel big enough to finally do my business in the potty! I actually said "bye-bye diapers" which mommy found encouraging!

Jamye and Keira met us for lunch at Mammacitas....

We visited at Aunt Dian's house for a while.....

Keira and Ezrie dressed up and posed for the camera. We all had a great time playing together and I can't wait to see them all again in December;)

Science Experiment.........

Today daddy bought me a mini volcano so we could do a little science experiment at home. Daddy placed the baking soda in the bottom of the volcano and then used a dropper to add the vinegar. I was a little worried about how big the eruption would be!

It was really awesome!!!

We made it erupt several times and talked about what a real eruption must look like.

Then daddy added some red food coloring to the mix.....

Interesting!

3...2...1... Blast Off!

So today we were hanging out at one of our favorite summer spots....Space Center Houston when we realized that mommy had never come back to "The Gallery" and seen the model of the space shuttle. Of course she had to snap a few pictures.....

3...2...1... Blast Off!

The funny part came when we walked inside a replica of sky lab where there were models of people floating in "space". I was scared of them at first and clung to daddy for dear life, but soon relaxed enough to enjoy looking around!

Megs Is 5 Months Old Today!

Megs is 5 months old today! It has been a busy month for her. She loves to grab faces and look into your eyes, she tries to get her toes in her mouth and sometimes succeeds, she will often growl like a baby tiger, she is trying very hard to sit up making bath time more difficult, and she is rolling all over the place!

Tiny Tots Play Time......

The gym where mommy works out during the week has a special class for kids my age on Friday mornings. This was our first week to try it out. We played with so many different things but one of my favorites were the symbols!

July 4th......

Daddy brought the Sunday paper in so we could look at the ads.....

I like browsing for toys....

Mommy dressed Megs and I for church in our patriotic attire.....

Afterward we headed to grandmas for lunch with the family. We swam and played. Meg watched us while sitting by the fan under the car port......

Uncle David helped me light a fire cracker while everyone watched. It was a fun 4th!
