A Frightfully Fun Friday.......

Mommy and I had a really fun Halloween! We went to the Woodland's Mall and had my fall pictures taken. There is a huge carousel in the food court and mommy and I rode it. It was my first time on a carousel so I sat on the tiger that didn't move up and down. My eyes were as wide as saucers as we went round and round. Of course, in our efforts to remember my costume and change of clothes this morning mommy forgot to bring our camera. Next stop was the enchanted soft play area and then it was my time to shine in front of the camera. We had a hard time deciding on pictures because mommy wanted to buy them all. After lunch we rode the carousel again and then stopped by Barnes and Noble to play with the Thomas the Train table. Needless to say, I had a very long afternoon nap.......

May the force be with you.........

Mommy found a cool R2D2 website (http://www.r2d2translator.com/)
This is me trying to mimic the translation......

The Picture People gave me my very own little pumpkin to take home. Daddy drew a face on it for me.......

Happy Halloween Everyone.......

Sticker Mania 2008

Daddy and I found a package of stickers while playing in my room today. We decided to express our artistic abilities using me as the canvas for our work. I was excited about our creativity and ran into the kitchen to surprise mommy.......

What? Didn't you get the memo? It's sticker mania 2008.....

Story Time.......

I love my bedtime routine! There is dinner, followed by bath time, and then my favorite part....story time. I usually pick out the books I want mommy or daddy to read. I have an assortment to choose from. What can I say....I love books!

Tonight's first selection was Truck Song......

Followed by Jesse Bear What Will You Wear. It ends with Jesse Bear going to bed so I know it is time for paci, blankie and prayers.......

Starting Off The Week Right.......

This was mine and mommy's second time at IT'Z pizza place. It is free for mom's on Mondays:) This week we invited Aunt Jodi, Makenzie, Lexi and Hunter. It was their first visit. I was showing off and strutting around like I owned the place.....

The girls wanted to eat in the Toon room that has cartoons playing on two big screens and several other small ones......

The last time we were here I watched as other children took turns riding this little train, but I would not get on. This time I slowly warmed up to it. Mommy rode on it with me in her lap the first couple of times. I finally decided to give it a try on my own. Mommy thought I looked like I needed to loosen up a bit.......

I buddied up with Makenzie......

Mommy bought us some cotton candy.....Yummy!

Aunt Jodi took me down the slide on one of the big bouncers....

Then it was mommy's turn. I think she had more fun than me!

My First Thomas Train..........

One of my favorite things to do is play with the Thomas train table at Barnes & Noble. We have to go at least once a week. Mommy will pick up a book or magazine to read while she watches me play. Daddy has been listening to me talk about the train table for weeks, so he decided we should all go to pay it a visit after lunch. It was my lucky day! Mommy had a couple of books to return and daddy found a Thomas train set on sale at the store so they bought me one with the gift card mommy received from the return. They kept it a secret, but when I woke up from my afternoon nap daddy had it all set up and waiting for me in the living room.........

I was so excited and I proudly exclaimed "my own choo-choo".......

This is me saying "thank you".......

and sitting in the middle of the track to play.....

Taking Advantage of The Beautiful Fall Weather.......

This morning was nice and cool. The perfect weather to be outdoors. When daddy asked me what I wanted to do today I answered "park" so we decided to try out a new playground a couple of miles down the road from our house. There were trees everywhere making it very shady and they even had a separate play area specifically for kids my age. I wanted to do everything all by myself.....Climb the stairs........

Slide ......
Look out below......

Mommy insisted she go with me when I decided to try the bigger slide......

but I had no problem doing it all alone....

except for the brief moment when I contemplated going down on my stomach. Mommy and daddy quickly dismissed the idea......

I did a lot of climbing.....

We even climbed up a little hill......

and ran back down.....

The evidence that fall is here was all around me. I picked up the leaves and wondered where they had come from......

Mommy showed me how they fell from the trees.....

then daddy and I spotted a squirrel and followed him until he went up one of the very tall trees....

We ended the trip with a relaxing swing.......

Now I Know My ABC's.........

This morning I decided to sing my ABC's all by myself. Mommy has been singing them to me since I was born. My room is even done in an alphabet theme so this week I have started to sing the alphabet morning, noon and night. Of course as you can see from the video, sometimes I get distracted before I complete the whole song......

Andrew and I At IT'S......

We have discovered a fun place close to our house called IT'S. Monday's moms eat for free so we decided to go and check it out. Jonathan watched as Andrew and I ate a variety of foods. I preferred the baked potato over pizza.......

There was a tree house just my size that I enjoyed exploring......

Hey everybody......Wait for me!

I was still a little too short for some of the rides. I stood by and watched my cousin Andrew on the monster trucks that went around in circles and bounced up and down. The lady that operated the ride must have felt sorry for me because she offered to let me ride once as long as someone rode with me, but mommy thankfully declined.

I didn't care if I was riding, watching or just running around.....I still had a blast!

On our way out we met a group of fireman and posed for pictures in front of their fire truck.....

Rock-A-Bye Baby........

Every morning ,when I wake up, mommy brings me a glass of milk and rocks me in my chair until I am ready to play. This morning I let mommy rock me for a little while but decided I wanted to rock myself. So, after mommy put me down I crawled back up into the chair and lounged lazily for a little while longer.........

Jonathan's Visit........

Mommy's cousin Jonathan came to stay the weekend with us. He had an interview with UTMB for medical school. Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle David, Makenzie, Lexi and Hunter all came to our house to see him. Lexi and I were the only two kids willing to cooperate for the photo....

Hunter and I had a great time playing together in the bathtub......

Soothing Sesame Street......

This morning mommy tried to put me down for my usual nap but I protested so she let me stay up a little longer. I wanted to brush my teeth and watch Sesame Street. Mommy went in the other room to finish up some house work but when she could no longer hear me making noise she came back to investigate. I had fallen asleep in front of the television. This was a first for me. Who knew Elmo could soothe me to sleep........

Figuring Things Out.......

When we moved into our new apartment mommy placed things that were considered safe for me to play with in the lower drawers . For example, my silver ware and bowl are in the second drawer and mommy's cook books are in the bottom one. Occasionally I like to pull them out and look through them or pretend like I am eating with my utensils. Today I figured out I could reach the top drawer which hold all mommy and daddy's silverware.

I was having a blast because I would reach my hand in the drawer and feel around not sure of what I might pull out next. A big spoon or a fork. Luckily mommy has a separate drawer for all the sharp things, but it looks like it is time for more baby proofing!
