Trick or Treat.....

Happy Halloween!

Today mommy took me trick or treating at the apartment leasing office. She gave me a cute spider bag to put my goodies in.

After I spent the morning trick or treating, mommy decided to do something a little different and moved one of my toys to the porch so we could sit outside and play. This was my first time to play out on our patio. Mommy had been too afraid to try it when we first moved to San Antonio because there are so many nasty bugs here. Now that it is cooling off they aren't so bad. I have this new thing that I started where I squeal really loud when I get excited! I did that a lot today. Especially when I would see new people walking by.

My First Fall Festival.......

Today mommy took me to my first Fall Festival !

I dressed up like a cowboy. I didn't like wearing the boots and kept making this face after mommy put them on me. I have to admit, being a cowboy is much better than being a pumpkin! At least I can sit up in this outfit and wearing it didn't make me cry.

My buddy Sam was a cute little monkey. He even had a banana as part of his costume! I had a hard time focusing for pictures because of all the other kids that were dressed up and playing around us. They had different tables with activities at each one, but we mainly just talked to other mommies.

My Follow-up With Dr.Buck......

Today was my follow -up with Dr.Buck to make sure my ear infection was all gone. I finished my antibiotic yesterday and as you can see I am feeling much better. I didn't even cry during my examination! Dr. Buck says my ears are all clear. She was surprised to learn I had gained a little over a pound in one week and now weigh in at 19lbs 9oz!

Mommy let me play a little before we went home. My appointment was at 2:45pm and we didn't leave the doctors office until a little after 5pm. I was very fussy and tired, but mommy wasn't in a hurry to be stuck in traffic. Besides, I love to pretend I am driving!
I will do anything to delay being put in my car seat.

I Love the Zoo.......

Today Aunt Dian, Keira, Anastasia, and Ezrie invited mommy and I to the zoo. Of course, I love the zoo and am always up for anything that involves being outside!

I think I am almost as big as this lion cub!

The monkeys were very vocal today. I sat watching them in a daze with a cute little grin across my face. One of the monkeys decided to climb down the fence to my level and stare back. I thought that was pretty funny too and let out a giggle!

My First Time In the Nursery.....

Today mommy had to go to her MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting. She had been taking me to the meetings with her because there was a waiting list for child care. A spot finally opened up, so today was my first day in the nursery.

Mommy was more nervous than I was. The nursery workers were very nice. I stayed for 3 whole hours and played. I didn't cry even once, and everyone said I was the "perfect baby"! When mommy came to pick me up I was being rocked by one of the ladies and was sleeping peacefully !

At home I got all dressed up in my warm clothes for our afternoon walk! I think this hat looks silly, but mommy says it will protect my ears from the wind.

My eyes are getting red. Can you tell I am tired?

Gramary and Pawpaw Visit.....

Today is a special day! Gramary and Pawpaw are coming to visit me. It has been a while since I last saw them. Mommy and I took an early morning walk. It was cool and windy this morning which is why I wore my football hat. Mommy wanted to protect my ears since I am still recovering from my ear infection.......PLUS, I look pretty cute!

My Fun Friday......

It was a cool morning here in San Antonio! Mommy dressed me up in my grizzly bear outfit and we headed outside for a walk.

Fridays are the best because daddy has the afternoon off. I get so excited when I see my daddy walk through the door. I make all sorts of noises until I get his full attention. Today we went to the pool and daddy let me splash in the water. Then we went back to my room and wrestled around on the floor.

Daddy usually has a football game to cover on Friday nights. Tonight mommy and I went with him to see Madison High School play. I was captivated by the lights and new sounds all around me! I was especially interested in the band uniforms and the BIG, black feathers sticking out of their hats. I even enjoyed listening to them play and cheering for the team on the sideline. I got lots of attention from the girls there too!

Mommy dressed me in my football attire. One of daddy's friends said I was well on my way to being a linebacker! Good thing I was paying attention during the game :)

Nap, No Thanks!

Mommy joined a nursing mothers group when we first moved to San Antonio. They meet once a month for lunch, and today we all got together. It is a great way for me to make new friends as well, but mommy forgot to take pictures while we were out. I took a short nap on the ride home but was ready to be entertained by the time we walked through the front door. I haven't been napping well lately. Some days I only sleep for about 30min.I am full of energy today! Maybe it was the caffeine from the glass of tea mommy had at lunch!

By late afternoon I was winding down. Still not ready to nap though! I just wanted to hold my puppy that Aunt Susie bought me. He plays "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" which is one of my favorite songs.

I ate dinner in my high chair like a big boy for the first time today! I had oatmeal banana and peaches...Yum!

Mommy gave me a bath after dinner and I played some more. Alright, I give up! I am ready for bed. Has anyone seen my pacifier?

Zoo Day....

Today mommy and I went to the zoo. The weather was sunny, a little hot but very breezy. We took a pictures with the lions that are at the entrance.

Lazy Tuesday

Mommy decided that since I had such a stressful day yesterday at the doctor, we would stay home and rest today. I woke up a lot last night, so we both needed to catch up on our sleep. I started my antibiotic. I think it is upsetting my tummy a little because I have had more dirty diapers than usual. I am still playful during the day though and continue to be fever free!

I needed a change of scenery, so mommy took me for a walk outside. It is a cloudy, cool day today. It even looks like it might rain!

Monday Mayhem

Today mommy took me to a new pediatrician. The doctor I had seen for my 6 month check-up did not carry all of the immunizations I needed so we decided to change doctors. I now weigh 18lbs 6oz and am 28 1/4 inches long. I didn't have to have an actual shot because the only thing I still needed was an oral vaccine. Mommy happened to mention I had been having trouble with allergies since we moved to San Antonio and also I haven't been sleeping well lately. The doctor took a look inside my ears and said they were both infected. I was not thrilled about the news, and mommy was surprised because I haven't been running a fever or acting sick. The doctor put some drops in my ears to numb them and gave mommy some prescriptions. I fell asleep on mommy's shoulder before we even left the office.

After a good nap my buddy Sam came by for a visit. I am always ready to play!

Saying Goodbye.....

Aunt Angela had to go home today so we decided to have a little lunch before everyone hit the road. We went to Mamacitas which is one of our favorite tex-mex restaurants here in San Antonio.

I was sad to see everyone leaving, but soon forgot my troubles when daddy let me take the wheel! It was a rough ride home, but we all made it in one piece.

I am happy that Ali is still here because she loves to play!

Aunt Angela's Visit....

Aunt Angela came from Houston to visit. She brought Mrs. Sloan and Nana with her. Aunt Angela's birthday was yesterday so we spent the day celebrating! We started out with lunch at Madhatters Tea House in the Historic King Williams district. Our next stop was San Marcos to shop. We walked all over and found some great deals. It was a fun day, but I was really tired. Shopping is hard work!

My Trip to San Marcos

Today me, my mommy and Ali went shopping at the outlet malls in San Marcos. We had so much fun and as you can see I got lots of new clothes. It was a long day, and I was happy to get home and play with daddy.
