My 3rd Birthday Party!

We celebrated my 3rd birthday at League Park today. The weather was beautiful, breezy and a bit cool if you were standing in the shade. I requested a Hot Wheels party and remembered Gramary had bought me a Hot Wheels jacket for Christmas. I hadn't wanted to wear it before today, but it was perfect for the occasion!

I love the see-saw. The park we usually play at doesn't have one. I think we need one for our back yard!

The tire swing was a lot of fun too. My cousin Lexi and I enjoyed twirling around....

Pizza time!

I was so excited to get to open my presents....

Aunt Andrea made me a cape with the Superman symbol on one side, and Batman on the other.

She also made me a cool car carrier to take along with us when we go to restaurants or other places. When unrolled you can pull out the cars and play on a little road....Awesome!

Taking it all in.....

Wow....more Hot Wheel stuff.....

After opening all of my presents I decided to stand on one of the picnic tables and say "Excuse me" as loud as I could to get everyone's attention. When all eyes were on me, I politely said
" Thank you all for my presents!"

My yummy cake! It was vanilla with chocolate butter cream icing!!

Enjoying my second piece of cake with Gavin...

It's been a while since Gavin and I played together and today we had so much fun! I would pretend to fall down and Gavin would pretend to save me. We took turns running across the bridge....

We wondered off to explore the big, red train caboose...

We walked to the pond where all the turtles were sunbathing and I tried to scare them back into the water....

Finally, we watched Gavin's dad drive his remote controlled race car really fast through the park. We tried chasing it but realized very quickly that watching was more fun especially when it spun circles in the dirt!

Day Out With Dad.....

Daddy took me to Kemah as a special treat for my birthday. I love to spend the day with my dad! He knew I would have a blast playing in the water....

Maybe if I keep moving I will not get sprayed!

Wrong!!!

Maybe I can stand on the holes to keep the water from coming up....

That didn't work....

After daddy changed me into dry clothes he took me to ride the train....

What a perfect way to end our afternoon together!

Happy Birthday To Me........I'm 3!

Now that I am 3 I have been practicing holding up 3 fingers. 2 was easy, but 3 is giving me a bit of trouble......

Trying hard....

Almost....If only I could get my little finger to stop popping up!

I requested popcorn shrimp for my birthday dinner, so mommy and daddy treated me to Red Lobsters. Grandma kept teasing me with her crab claws and lobster tail. It was really grossing me out!

Grandma bought me a Thomas cake and the people at the restaurant placed 3 candles on it and sang to me....

I managed to blow them all out with one breathe!

I quickly gobbled down my piece....

and contemplated a second.....

but settled for kisses from sister instead since they are the sweetest!!

Let's Play Ball....

We are planning on signing up for T-ball this summer so over the weekend daddy bought me baseball gear to practice. He showed me how to hold the bat and taught me that I should always keep my eye on the ball (with the exception of posing for this picture)!

My favorite part is running the bases...

I have to be quick to keep from getting tagged by the ball!

A Day At The Rodeo.....

Mommy took sister and I on our first trip to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. I was very excited!

Mommy wanted me to pose for a few pictures before going inside, but I was mostly interested in running around....

Mommy says I am her favorite little cowboy!

From the moment we entered the exhibit hall there was lots to see. Our first stop was at the bee farm where I learned how bees make honey and watched them at work in their hive. Next we encountered big pigs, goats, sheep and cows. I was happy to see a Texas Longhorn up close. He was really big!

There were lots of rabbits to see. Some were small while others were really big. I enjoyed petting their soft fur....

I spent the most time watching the baby chicks hatching out of their eggs....amazing!

At the birthing center we saw piglets and calf's that were only a few days old. There were informative videos on how each of the animals were born......

Mommy had to stop and nurse Meghan, but Gramary took me to the farm where I was able to milk a pretend cow and harvest vegtables. At the end I was given a box of apple juice.

Admiring the beautiful flowers as we stopped to rest our feet....

I had been looking forward to the carnival all day....

and the rides did not disappoint....

What a fun day at the rodeo! I can't wait to come back next year!!

Milk Time.....

I had been asking mommy to help feed Meghan but once she warmed the bottle I decided I needed a glass of milk for myself. I still assisted grandma with the feeding. This way sister and I could have our milk together!

Poor Baby!

Poor little Meghan caught a cold. After a couple of hard nights at home with neither of us getting restful sleep we decided it was time to see Dr.Shinder. In the office they checked Meg's oxygen saturation which was reading in the 80's when it should be high 90's. They swabbed her nose and it came back positive for RSV. She was admitted to the PICU at Clear Lake Regional where she was started on oxygen and the nurses were able to suction her secretions to clear her nose better and make her more comfortable.

Our sweet baby girl was finally able to rest well and so was mommy who slept in the room with her during her stay. We had so many people praying for her recovery. Dr. Albitar said she was very fortunate to have such a mild case and on day 4 allowed us to go home!
