I love when mommy takes me to feed the ducks. I get super excited! Especially when they get really close to my stroller.........

Alright duck, back off. I mean it! That's close enough. Stop eying my bread and wait your turn. I will give you a piece in just a minute......

I hate to resort to such drastic measures, but you leave me no choice. Now I will tease you by eating the bread while you watch......

Gramary met us to feed the ducks and then took me swimming. Wow, the water was really cold!

But it felt so good......

I liked splashing in the fountain........

And walking through the water all by myself (The kiddie pool is only 9in deep)......

Getting ready to splash......

Pretending to swim......

Sweet hugs and kisses from Gramary

My First Picnic.....

Today mommy took me on my first picnic. We went to a park close to Aunt Jodi's house so Makenzie, Lexi and Hunter could come too.

Hunter and I enjoyed the soccer field. We had plenty of space to stretch our legs.....

There's nothing like a relaxing swing after a big meal...........

This park had a cool slide with rollers on it that made me go even faster...........

Spider Baby......

Strutting my stuff like a big boy on the bridge......

Saying goodbye to my cousin Makenzie after a fun filled day........

Wishing Ike Would Go Away........

It was a rough night. I had trouble sleeping because the wind and rain were so loud. Mommy rocked me in my room for a while. I have two big palm trees in front of my bedroom window that I think everyone was worried might fall over so mommy didn't mind sitting with me. Our electricity went out at 2:30am and from that point on most of us stayed awake listening to Hurricane Ike do it's damage. A shingle from the roof hit mommy and daddy's bedroom window but luckily only left a mark. Mommy used her flashlight to illuminate my room so I could play and take my mind off the storm......

Grandma let me play on her bed while Grandpa tried to take a nap......

Uncle James and Aunt Angela opened the windows in the living room. Although the worst of the storm was over, the wind was still blowing hard enough to circulate some cool air throughout the apartment and give us some relief from the heat.........

Mommy opened the front door to circulate more cool air. I liked being able to see outside......

Daddy and Uncle James listening to the news on our battery operated radio.......

Hurricane Ike blowing through........

Here Comes Hurricane Ike........

"Big Storm Coming" was the phrase of the day for me. As mommy walked the grocery isle buying necessities I tried to get the attention of every person I saw to let them know. As late afternoon approached the winds started to pick up and I watched the palm trees begin to sway from my bedroom window.......

Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle James and Aunt Angela arrived to wait out the storm at our apartment. They live in Alvin which is only about 30 miles from Galveston and since we are an hour and a half away they decided to wait the storm out at our house.

The sky was really beautiful tonight......

I guess it was the "calm before the storm"......

Our Day At Chick-fil-A.............

Today Chick-fil-A was giving away free chicken strips to every person wearing a shirt from their favorite college team. Of course daddy, mommy and I dressed in our University of Houston football attire and headed out for lunch.

Mommy played with me........

and helped me go down the big slide.....
