Ballunar Festival

We were up and out of the house early this morning in order to see the hot air balloons lift off. It was all part of the annual Ballunar Festival that was taking place at NASA this year. We hadn't been on the road long when we started to see them in the sky....

We noticed one on the ground and thought that it might have crashed......

Then we realized that was the spot they had chosen to lift off. On the other side of the field were even more balloons in open fields getting ready to launch into the sky! They were all taking off from different points and then landing at NASA...

It really was a sight to behold!

This pic was taken while waiting in the drive thru at McDonald's!

At times, the balloons were flying pretty low and Matthew was concerned they may crash on us....

Meghan was her usually smiley self kicking her legs with glee at the sight of the balloons...

We decided to watch the balloons float by while sitting in the NASA parking lot...

We couldn't have asked for a better view!

I liked this one!

The weather was perfect!

I really thought this guy was going to hit the tree.....

Yikes!

Matthew wouldn't let go of his hash brown for the picture....

Flying very low....

A freaked out Matthew seeking shelter in the Traverse!

The last balloon of the day!

There it goes!

We will definitely be making this a yearly thing!

My First Halloween Party!!

My friends Jacob and Lexi hosted a Halloween party at Jacob's house. I wore my costume and so did my friends!

We had a lot of fun playing with Jacob's toys!

My friend Lexi really liked Meghan. She talked to her and even nicknamed her "beautiful" and that's what she called her for the rest of the morning!

It was really hard to get everyone to cooperate for a group photo but we gave it our best shot!

Jacob's back yard was full of fun things to do....

We started out by receiving a pumpkin to paint....

I started out painting it pink....

Then began using my favorite color.....green!

Then I just ended up mixing them all together.....

Megs really wanted to paint with us but settled for just holding a pumpkin instead!

What pretty pumpkins!!

We are going to have to get a sand box of our own because I could have spent the rest of the day playing in Jacob's....

My favorite part of the party was bobbing for apples! I was actually really good at it! Mommy was feeding Megs and missed snapping the shot as I first grabbed the stem with my teeth....No hands! Of course, after I pulled it up out of the water I had to use my hands to pick it up...

I did this 3 or 4 times until mommy finally made me stop so I didn't waste all the apples...

I enjoyed eating them in good company....

Two at a time......

Then we decorated our own cupcakes....

Mine had chocolate icing, vanilla icing, a spider and some fall leaves....It was yummy! What a great party!!

Jesus Your My Super Hero!

Daddy came with us to school today so he could attend chapel. I wore my Superman cape as did several other children because this whole month we have been talking about how Jesus rescues us in our time of need. Our theme song has been "Jesus Your My Super Hero". I sing it all the time!

Today we talked about Joshua and the battle of Jericho. Mrs.Karen even had a huge wall of over sized Legos to show us how the wall came tumbling down. It was really cool and loud!

We sang "Joshua Fought The Battle of Jericho", "God Is Big" along with our favorite super hero song. What a great way to start the day!

Clear Creek ISD Marching Band Festival.....

Daddy took us to the Clear Creek ISD Marching Band Festival which was held at the high school near our house.....

Megs was ready to hear the band music ....

Mommy brought some special stadium snacks which made me like the whole thing even more! Clapping for the performances was the only thing that kept me from eating my candy too quickly....

Seriously eating and listening at the same time.....How's that for multi-tasking??

Megs couldn't take her eyes off the field once the bands started to play but then again, neither could daddy!

There were a total of 5 bands and it seemed like each one was better than the last! We were so focused on listening we didn't even hear daddy calling our name for the picture....

Cheese!

Having a little cuddle session with mommy;)

Sister and I playing....

We were both getting tired towards the end but managed to keep each other happy!

Help....she's trying to get me!

The last band played some spooky Halloween music!

Can I go to bed now?

Thanks for all the goodies mom!

We were so glad daddy brought us on such a fun family outing!
